Jed believes the concepts and mechanics of jiu-jitsu are what makes the “moves” of the art. Thus, he focuses more on understanding the concepts behind each technique. As the concepts may be applied to multiple scenarios, this provides students opportunities to innovate and develop a style of their own.
Jed teaches both gi and no-gi classes. As an active competitor, he understands how to cater classes for people of different skill levels and goals. You can also expect a greater amount of details in his classes. Jed always looks to incorporate different methods of learning to make classes interesting and to vary the intensity.
Jed admits to have no life outside of jiu-jitsu, as affirmed by his friends. He has experience and enjoys working with children and youth, as he has freelanced in facilitating workshops in schools. He also brings experience from a HIIT gym he worked at previously. Jed used to practice magic but his hands are now used more to choke and break people. As a Marvel fan, he is probably more Daredevil than Gambit.
